NJHS Bake Sale

By: Olivia Smathers

The National Junior Honor Society held its first annual bake sale beginning on Friday, September 13, and it was a huge success! NJHS has made over $200 with this bake sale and are planning to use the earnings on the Happy Cart. The Happy Cart is a cart with fun things that a teacher might want or need for either their classroom or themselves. The Happy Cart goes around the Adena 6-8 hallway every Friday. We are super proud of NJHS for putting this bake sale together!

Washington D.C. Trip Info

By: Olivia Smathers

As we all know the eighth graders go on a trip every year to Washington D.C. There have been two meetings about it but if you missed it here is a summary of the trip. Each students cost will be paid up to $150 worth of the total, leaving you to pay about $650. They also suggest around $75 in spending money for the second day of the trip. It’s recommended to bring snacks for the bus. They will be stopping every 2-3 hours at a travel stop. There are four people to a room and you are only guaranteed one person on your list. The first 49 people that preregisterd are guaranteed to go , but if 70 eighth graders preregester they will take two busses allowing everyone to go. On our way back we will stop through Virginia. This is a three night trip.
